The Corkyboy Story
If you use certain items every day, you certainly expect that they work without any problems. Therefore, Klaus Barthel did not expect that after opening a wine bottle with a lot of effort there would remain cork particles in the wine. But how could he get the cork out of the bottle without having always these cork particles in the wine? Klaus Barthel being an engineer with an inventive genius immediately started working to get rid of this problem.
The result of his work is Corkyboy, the ultimate corkscrew which is easy to use leaving no cork particles in the wine, in particular the bottles with plastic corks. Just turn the handle three times and the Teflon-coated worm will penetrate the cork by only 35 mm. Thus, the worm will not completely penetrate the cork. By reversible push, the cork will easily be pulled out of the bottle leaving no cork particles in the wine. Just perfect, isn’t it?
Klaus Barthel’s innovation convinced numerous connoisseurs of wine and wine-growers. Many "sommeliers" do no longer use their traditional corkscrew but open their wine bottles every day with Corkyboy.
